The Martian Review

Directed By: Ridley Scott

Starring: Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristin Wiig

Wow, this was a really great movie. Thrilling throughout so the long runtime didn’t feel so long, which is a good thing. Matt Damon really became his character and owned it, he was charming and entertaining. He made you care about what will happen to him in the end. The cast, direction and cinematography were all top notch, which is usually overlooked by movies so it seems just “good enough” instead of going for something that draws you in. If you are trapped on a planet, there will be some profanity, so heads up to anyone wanting to bring a youngster. But it doesn’t feel forced, it fits. Definitely the movie to see in theaters and 3D worthy as well. This movie had a warmth of heart that stuck with me for at least a full 24 hours after I watched it. Movies this good don’t come along too often so it is best to make the most of your experience!
