Krampus Review

Directed By: Michael Dougherty

Starring: Adam Scott, Toni Collette, David Koechner

Now this was a fun movie. I like the B horror movie feel and I felt that Christmas really lent itself well to horror. The cast was great and the performances were fine. Everything about this movie could have been great but they were trying to marry two worlds. Horror and Family Friendly. That didn’t work. The kills were never really on screen, though the monsters were good they didn’t show enough gore or violence. This movie pulled away from what it really had going for it. If they had committed to the horror and gave themselves more room to play with gore, this movie would’ve been a breath of fresh holiday air. In an effort to make an appropriate movie they sacrificed what I really wanted to see.
