I loved this movie. It was hilarious. People had told me it was funny but it was still funnier than I thought it would be. The action was incredible and top notch. the humor was exquisite and the 4th wall breaking was much more enjoyable than I expected.

With all that going for it the movie still had a ton of heart and stakes. The gruesome violence was totally satisfying without being overboard as well. I deducted .1 because I felt there was a little more nudity than necessary. Over all an excellent movie but definitely a hard R.

Well… it happened. FOX loosened their purse strings and a Deadpool movie was actually made. When the Marvel intro started I took a moment to think about how Ryan Reynolds fought for 11 years… ELEVEN YEARS, to get this movie made. With dedication like that, they better nail this 4th wall breaking, wise cracking, vulgar, genre bending, ass kicker… no exceptions…

My goodness folks, Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool. He lives this character plain and simple. The set pieces and action are top notch, which is not bad with the “small” budget they worked with. Bonus: They utilized parts shown in the trailer that I thought would be small features… I am looking at you Colossus!

The supporting cast does a great job with some killer lines delivered from TJ Miller. (Side Note: I have been listening to the podcast Cashing In with TJ Miller and Host Cash Levy. Check it out. It kills me.) And I would like to see more Negasonic in the future. She is a spitfire! *laughs from audience* I will also say the opening intro and credits are so Deadpool. I never laughed so hard at credits.

Now be warned! You will get bad reviews from this movie. It is a very hard R and it is violent, crude and features some nudity. If you do not know a lot about the character I suggest some research, other wise you will feel a little lost and probably annoyed like some of those puffed up critics.

SEE DEADPOOL! The commercials don’t lie, it is a game changer. There are a few parts in the middle that did drag on a bit for me, but it was all good material. The problem was the scene they cut away from is amazing and I kind of felt like I wanted to get back into it. Job well done for the crew and I cannot wait to see the next one.
