The Jungle Book Review

Directed By: John Favreau

Starring: Neel Sethi, Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley

This movie was excellent! The animation was incredible and worth seeing just for the quality of the CGI. The story was engaging and wasn’t a point for point copy of the original so there was still plenty to enjoy. Idris Elba does an amazing Sheer Khan and Bill Murray completely inhabits the role of Baloo. Neel Sethi (Mowgli) did a tremendous job being the only real live thing on screen. Ben Kingsley was an excellent Bagheera and Scarlett Johansen was underused but still very good. And I of course loved Christopher Walken as King Louie. The movie was a little dark and scary for any kids under 6 I would say but this is definitely worth seeing. Worth the extra scratch for 3D but only if you like 3D in general. The movie would have been great in SD as well. Disney is continuing to make great and groundbreaking entertainment. You don’t want to miss this one.
