Suicide Squad Review

Directed By: David Ayer

Starring: Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie

I can sort of understand how a rushed script and a weak mission for the squad, caused many critics to enjoy this movie less. That wasn’t the case for me. The film has its problems but, it didn’t detract much from my enjoyment. I’m not sure what these critics were smoking to have the movie average out to 26% on Rotten Tomatoes. Dead Shot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) were big standouts and this movie is definitely worth seeing. Worth it for the team dynamic, for the performances, for the amazing ensemble cast, an interesting story and excellent action sequences. I would watch this movie again and would welcome a sequel with open arms. Hopefully this movie will be a little critic proof and get the big box office numbers it deserves in its second and third weeks in theaters. I beseech you my friends, to enjoy this movie as much as you can. Ignore the fact that the villains feel much more like heroes and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) plays out like more of a super villain, so that you can love this movie like it should be loved.

Rating: 3.8/5
